The Quarry

Description: J.R. Evans partnered with Centex Homes on a nearly seven-year, 846-acre project that included PUD rezoning from a rock mine to a residential golf community for 1,028 families/individuals. We started with a major on-site analysis of the contributing watershed that utilized a hydrologic model to establish the timing and rate of off-site flows from an existing property. After evaluating flow-way basin staging with the development basins, we designed residential development basins in a way that would not impact floodplain storage, but would improve water quality.
