Civil Engineer Position

Job Description:

JR Evans Engineering, P.A. is seeking a Civil Engineer with a 2+ years of experience in land development. As a design engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of land development including planning, design, permitting, client and agency communication, construction observation, and plan production. This position is part of an exciting team and applicants have many opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from four‐year college or university. Must have passed or be eligible to take the FE exam. Position qualifications include:

  Ability to coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies.
  Hard working, detail oriented, and technically sound with engineering principles & practices.
  Motivated to progress in career path with a growing firm.
  Able to work effectively within a team environment.
  E.I. preferred.
  AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

As a project manager, you will be involved in all aspects of land development including planning, design, permitting, client and agency communication, construction observation, and plan production. You will be responsible for managing staff members time and input for successful project completion. This position is part of an exciting team and applicants have many opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from four‐year college or university. Must have passed the PE exam. Florida Professional Engineer preferred. Must be eligible to register within the state of Florida if not a PE in Florida. Position qualifications include:

  6+ years of experience directly related to design and construction of stormwater, municipal, and land development projects.
  Experience in storm water analysis and modeling.
  Strong computer skills utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, storm water modeling software, as well as Microsoft Office programs.
  Ability to coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies.
  Hard working, detail oriented, and technically sound with engineering principles & practices.
  Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  Manage multi‐discipline land development design and entitlement teams.
  Lead mentoring and training for design engineers and engineering interns.
  Assist in new client development.

  Direct responsibility for projects and leading a team in the development of plans and specifications for commercial, mixed‐use, multi‐family, residential and other types of projects.
  Responsible for project management reporting, scheduling and client invoicing.

Civil Engineering Design Technician Position

JR Evans Engineering, P.A. is looking for a Civil CAD Design Technician to join our team. This candidate will support our Civil Engineering Land Development Department. Work will include red-lining and preparation of site development plans, design and layout of civil infrastructure including but not limited to wastewater, water, and stormwater management.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with licensed Professional Engineer on challenging land development projects for residential and commercial sites
  • Review plans with Project Manager of all drawings for completeness and accuracy
  • Coordinate with team daily on various projects
  • Work with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018 - 2021
  • Ability to organize drawings to company standards and policies

REQUIREMENT:

Mentoring Program

Managers meet with employees every three months (at lunch away from office) to review progress and to mentor if/when needed. This gives the employee and manager a great opportunity to be candid regarding career path, growth, and grievances/concerns (with tasks or other personnel), etc.
