Mentoring Program

Managers meet with employees every three months (at lunch away from office) to review progress and to mentor if/when needed. This gives the employee and manager a great opportunity to be candid regarding career path, growth, and grievances/concerns (with tasks or other personnel), etc.

Telecommuting

Telecommuting is defined as regularly working a full or partial workday from home or some other alternate work site.

The Company may make telecommuting available to employees when it benefits organizational and departmental needs. This option may not be available in some job classifications due to business needs. The Company reserves the right to determine positions within a department that may be suitable for telecommuting. If you are granted a telecommuting arrangement, you will be subject to the same performance standards as prior to telecommuting. Telecommuting work areas may be evaluated to ensure that appropriate safety standards are met.

Civil Engineer/Project Manager Position

Experience: 6+ Years
Academic Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited University
Licensure Requirements: Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) Certification

Job Description:

JR Evans Engineering, P.A. is seeking a Civil Engineer Project Manager with a minimum of 6 years of experience in land development and infrastructure design and permitting. As a project manager, you will be involved in all aspects of land development including planning, design, permitting, client and agency communication, construction observation, and plan production. You will be responsible for managing staff members time and input for successful project completion. This position is part of an exciting team and applicants have many opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from four‐year college or university. Must have passed the PE exam. Florida Professional Engineer preferred. Must be eligible to register within the state of Florida if not a PE in Florida. Position qualifications include:

 6+ years of experience directly related to design and construction of stormwater, municipal, and land development projects.
 Experience in storm water analysis and modeling.
 Strong computer skills utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, storm water modeling software, as well as Microsoft Office programs.
 Ability to coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies.
 Hard working, detail oriented, and technically sound with engineering principles & practices.
 Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
 Motivated to progress in career path with a growing firm.
 Able to work effectively within a team environment.
 Possession of valid Florida driver’s license with excellent driving record.
 Candidates with related work experience in Florida preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
 Manage multi‐discipline land development design and entitlement teams.
 Lead mentoring and training for design engineers and engineering interns.
 Assist in new client development.
 Serve as point of contact for clients.
 Direct responsibility for projects and leading a team in the development of plans and specifications for commercial, mixed‐use, multi‐family, residential and other types of projects.
 Responsible for project management reporting, scheduling and client invoicing.
 Perform hydraulic analysis, pump station designs, utility pipeline design, stormwater design, pavement design, and routine engineering calculations.
 Observe and attend meetings with clients or project stakeholders.
 Ability to multi‐task, prioritize, give direction, and supervise/manage staff.

 Ability to coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies.
 Hard working, detail oriented, and technically sound with engineering principles & practices.
 Motivated to progress in career path with a growing firm.
 Able to work effectively within a team environment.
 E.I. preferred.
 AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience preferred.
 Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Project.
 Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
 Possession of valid Florida driver’s license with excellent driving record.
 Candidates with related work experience in Florida preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
 Gather project data.
 Prepare and assemble engineering reports and drawings.
 Perform hydraulic analysis, pump station designs, utility pipeline design, data collection and calibration of water and wastewater facilities.
 Perform routine engineering calculations.
 Assist with CAD drafting and design, and preparation of construction documents.
 Observe and attend meetings with clients or project stakeholders.
 Ability to multi‐task, prioritize, and take direction and ability to work independently.
